Canine Health

​When an emergency happens, we want to help you build the muscle memory needed to kick in, so you’ll be able to help your dog in their moment of need. We teach from basic health care to how to handle the scary stuff:

• Prevention - poisons & toxic foods, plants, human medications
• Nutrition, exercise, dental care, and vaccination needs,  
• Digestive emergencies and how to deal with them
• Make your own Elizabethan collar & emergency muzzle (even the most docile dogs can act aggressively when they're injured or scared)
• How to handle when your dog's heart stops,
• lodged objects in throat, choke, or can't breathe
• what to do when they've gotten into poison
• how to stabilized a pet for for safe transport to the Vet after an accident
• Hands-on practice of different scenarios
• CPR, M-N artificial respiration, chest compressions for different sized dogs
• Bandaging and more...

We do everything with your safety in mind, and you'll take home a 130 page health and first aid quick reference manual.
You earn your paper certificate as well as your wallet CPR card - so you can help any dog in distress!!

I Can Help: Dog Safety
& First Aid for Kids

Do you have a dog-crazy kiddo who would love to learn how to better care for their furry friend? 
Our hands-on Dog Safety & First Aid for Kids is a 3-hour class where kids learn:

• Safety around dogs
• Dog body language
• Basic food, water, exercise & grooming needs 
• How to recognize when a dog isn't feeling well 
• How to bandage a paw, head & leg 
• What to have in their first aid kit

They receive a child-friendly booklet with puzzles and coloring pages, as well as a recipe for homemade doggy chicken and rice biscuits.

Canine First-Aid
Fundamentals

This course is offered both online or in-person.
We want to reach ALL dog owners! We know some of you cannot attend an in-person class due to remote or international locations. Some of you may be undergoing gathering-restrictions.  Or maybe you are very busy and may not have the time to take the full day program?

With the 3-4 hour half-day fundamentals program, you can learn either in person, or via live-stream interactive video. I will take you through all the essentials--from health & prevention, to bandaging & stabilizing, to poisons, household dangers & more.

You can learn the basics and know that you have the skills to help your dog in an emergency.​
